Dancing to the beat of their own drum. Last night saw the opening of a unique exhibition of works from creative Perth duo Cherish & Nicole Marrington at Hatch in the Carillon City. With an established reputation of placing the spotlight firmly on Perth design Hatch are exhibiting a series of fifteen ink drawings by Cherish and a larger-than-life costume made by costume designer Nicole. A Touch of Romance in Fremantle Friday evening saw Fenella Peacock showcase her A/W 12 ‘Poetica’ Collection in the unlikely setting of a bare-bones warehouse in Fremantle. The space is what historic Fremantle is all about – exposed brick, timber ceiling and atmosphere plus. With the addition of long draped red velvet curtains and beautiful soft lighting, what could have been drab and uninspiring became intimate and romantic.
