STYLEAID celebrated it’s 15th Birthday at the Burswood Grand Ballroom on Friday evening. And what a party it was. Fifteen of WA’s best designers and ateliers showcased their upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 collections to a loud and appreciative audience of 750 guests. RASPBERRY + POP – SEASON LAUNCH
I have a confession. I knew very little about Perth label Raspberry + Pop before last nights show hosted by Emma and the team at All Of The Above Creative at 140 William. If I’m being even more truthful, with a name like Raspberry + Pop I was expecting day-glo colours, ridiculous levels of youthful exuberance and a pop-tastic soundtrack. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The studio space was decked out (pardon the pun) like a sailing ship with ropes, lanterns, sails and even a rudder in the window. Fenella Peacock ‘Poetica’ – Poetic Indeed
A Touch of Romance in Fremantle Friday evening saw Fenella Peacock showcase her A/W 12 ‘Poetica’ Collection in the unlikely setting of a bare-bones warehouse in Fremantle. The space is what historic Fremantle is all about – exposed brick, timber ceiling and atmosphere plus. With the addition of long draped red velvet curtains and beautiful soft lighting, what could have been drab and uninspiring became intimate and romantic. Along with a preview of Fenella’s Spring/Summer 12/13 ‘Odalisque’ collection the evening was also a Fundraiser event for the Junior Exchange Sailing Scheme (J.E.S.S) – a non-profit organisation that sends six talented…
